A Matheson team led by Corporate M&A partner Brian McCloskey and Corporate M&A solicitor Dan McAleese is delighted to have advised the National Treasury Management Agency (as controller and manager of the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund) ("ISIF") in connection with the investment by the Japanese telecommunications investment company, SoftBank Corp in Irish connected-vehicle software company, Cubic Telecom, in which ISIF is a shareholder. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
Brian McCloskey commented:
"We were delighted to have had the opportunity to work with ISIF again and to support them on this significant transaction in the Irish technology sector. SoftBank's investment in Cubic Telecom highlights the continued attractiveness of Ireland's indigenous technology and software sectors to international investors looking to deploy capital in innovative businesses".
