Services: ESG Date: 15/04/2021

Matheson Chairperson, Tara Doyle, was a speaker at today’s National Diversity and Inclusion Conference.  Tara spoke at the Conference’s first session – “Diversity & Inclusion in Action” – telling the story of Matheson’s D&I journey.  The session also included contributions from AMCK Aviation and Fidelity Investments, and was followed by a robust Q&A session.

Hosted by the DCU Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion, in partnership with the Irish Centre for Diversity, and in its second year, the virtual event provided an opportunity for national and international thought leaders to share their insights on key D&I issues and to provide practical learnings on how to shape more inclusive and diverse workplaces.

Tara Doyle, Matheson Chairperson said, “I greatly appreciate this opportunity to contribute to this year’s National Diversity & Inclusion Conference on behalf of Matheson, and to hear others’ experiences and insights as we discuss the most pressing D&I topics for Irish businesses.  The story of our D&I journey in Matheson is not over.  It is an ongoing one, and I was pleased to note the high level of interest shown by other participants in how we have been able to shape that journey to date.”

The full-day event featured contributions from high profile leaders in the worlds of healthcare, advocacy, technology, finance and public service, including: Matheson, Google, Pfizer, Indeed, Bank of Ireland, Independent Living Movement, SmartRecruiters, Publicjobs.ie Public Appointments Service, Irish Life, AMCK Aviation, Fidelity Investments, and Nestlé.

Sandra Healy, Director of the DCU Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion said, “2020 has been a year like no other, bringing about unprecedented challenges and upheaval to many organisations who have grappled with working alongside a global pandemic.  Organisations have had to change at a rapid pace and more than ever, there is a need to maintain a focus on inclusion and diversity, to deliver the best business, people and customer outcomes.”
